Privacy policy
What OnAirSeason collects when you visit, which cookies it uses, the choices you have and how to reach us about your data.
Last updated:
OnAirSeason is a US sports site with schedules, key dates, where-to-watch tables and short news stories. It has no accounts, no comments, no newsletter and no ads. This page says what data the site handles and why.
Who is responsible
OnAirSeason publishes this site. We don't list a street address. You can reach us at contact@onairseason.com, and that address is the contact for every request on this page.
What we collect
- Server logs at Cloudflare. The site runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare handles every request and keeps its own technical logs, which include your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. We use that to keep the site running and to spot abuse. Cloudflare's own policy covers how long it keeps them.
- A page-view counter of our own. When a page loads, your browser sends the page path to our server. We add one to a daily total for that path. The counter doesn't read or store your IP address, user agent, referrer or any identifier, and it sets no cookie, so a total can't be tied back to you.
- Email you send us. If you write to the contact address, we keep your message and your address to answer you and to keep a record of corrections. We don't add you to a list or pass your address on.
- Google Analytics 4. We use it to see which pages are read and how people arrive. Google receives your IP address, device and browser details and the page you viewed. Advertising features are switched off: we don't use Google Signals, ad personalization or any advertising cookies.
We don't sell personal information, we don't share it for advertising, and we don't build profiles of visitors.
Cookies and consent
We set no cookies of our own.
Google Analytics uses its own cookies (names starting with _ga) to tell one visit from the next. What happens depends on the country your connection comes from, which Cloudflare tells us when the page is served. A VPN or proxy can therefore change what you see.
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland. Analytics cookies are off by default and the page shows a banner with Accept and Decline. Analytics cookies stay off until you press Accept. If you press Decline, Google Analytics gets no cookie and only basic, cookieless signals. We store your choice in your browser's local storage under the key
onairseason_consent. The "Change my cookie choice" button below (shown only to visitors in these regions) brings the banner back, and so does clearing site data. - Everywhere else. The banner and the button are not shown, and analytics cookies are on by default (our Consent Mode default for visitors outside those regions).
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we switch analytics storage off wherever you are.
You can also block cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out browser add-on. The site works the same either way.
Why we use your data
For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, we rely on your consent for analytics cookies. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure site for the Cloudflare logs and the daily page counter, which hold no personal profile. We answer your email because you asked us to.
Your rights
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you can ask us for access to the personal data we hold about you, and for correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
If you live in California, you can ask what personal information we hold, ask us to delete or correct it, and expect equal service if you do. We don't sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms.
Send requests to contact@onairseason.com. We may ask for details to find your message, and we answer within 30 days. Most of what we hold is the email you sent us, and the visit data sits with Cloudflare and Google under their own policies.
Children
OnAirSeason is written for a general sports audience and isn't aimed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their personal information. If a child has written to us, email the contact address and we'll delete the message.
Links to other sites
Stories link to league, team and broadcaster pages and to sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we don't control them.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top. If a change affects what we collect, we say so on this page.
